Notes from an Outing

Some critters I spied on my bimble :
Two crows cawing and a statuesque crane,
And a sunning turtle dome on the lane,
And a squirrel, tail furled,
Covering nuts with terrain .

Some that I heard, hidden from pupil :
An unmistakable woodpecker trill,
The scramble of a skink
Scaping down a hill,
The flop of the frog into the spill .

Arrear : the Dear Leader

O ! My spurs,
Walking ; so hard to endure :

Let the lard stoop
And salute
The tanks with his “ suckers ”
And “ losers ” buried
Under turrets :

A parade of adulation—
Forced forces,
Raising dictator spirit .

Walmart Raises Prices Due to Tariffs

Trump country
Is Walmart country—
RED country

Shifts before the wailing
Stretches bluer beyond
What little railing

Guards the Country from runaway trains .

The cult of the cow
Pat the dust from their knees,
Wondering . . . How ?

But realizing now
That the plated gold
Was of of the fool’s type : finally,

The rabble laments our broken tablets .

Magnitude

Of the pinpoints that flare us,
Polaris is the brightest star in the night sky ?
Are you Sirius ?

With the barking dog nearer,
Polaris can’t bear to be brighter .

Elbows Up

Although the Clown gets grimmer,
A boil is building from simmer .
And far from idle mimmer,
Resistance is thicker, not thinner .
Midterms will limit the limmer —
Elbows up, beak-sharp as immer .

Cièl

Cièl,
A checkered belle
Where sunset dwells

In harlequin air :
As the nocturne purrs .
