Spiritus Sanctus spanked us,
And expanded our lungs—
Lamentation before laughter .

Yet, of the three gods in the godhead,
Do you not think the Holy Ghost
Gets short shrift ?
Are these not coequal branches
Of cosmic government ?

The alabastard flapper hovers
Pneumatic across dimensions ;
The wind over the waters,
Carves up Chaos into subdivisions ;
Updrafts the skirt of Madonna,
Imaculate the swelling .

But in the Old Testament, the Father
Gets top billing ;  and in the Good News,
The Son suffers the blues :
Yahweh thrilling with river splitting
And dekaplague killing;
Jesus spellbinding by sighting the blind,
And unwrapping death from the winding .

Pretzeled apologies for Sky Daddy,
CEO of the Council of Cielo,
Come from being concerned
Of being eaten by worms
As the terminal organic form  .
